He stands on them & pecks at their head feathers to reinforce their submission to him. It's not just sexual/reproductive.

Yes but it takes about 12 years of compulsory schooling & a constant broadcasting of disempowering & fearful messages.
It works on about 90% of humans though & they will then help to condition the next generation to submit to democracy & the state.
