Remember when Pokémon go took over the world and everyone and their grandma were playing it? And then it stopped.

I still see some hardcore fans playing it in DC.

heck I open it every now and then... but the game changed a lot!

I see a flock of players in the wild once in a while still. Less then before but still

oh of course.

also strangely it's really popular with Japanese elders. like 80+ years old.

I guess walking around plus the community aspect of it

It was for a bit but not as much anymore.

Hasn’t stopped though

I don’t see it anymore. Before you’d see random people playing everywhere

Well, it’s probably not as popular anymore but I know many people that still play it and I occasionally see random people walking around playing it. I heard it was also popular to drive around playing it as well now.

Never played it myself though.

I was playing it this month 😂

It's my travel game.

Didn't it turn out to be a big operation for data collection and now the same company sells services that are trained on that data (ai that generates 3d models out of images, accurate 3d mapping indoors and outdoors, etc) .. also sold shit ton of data to the CIA

No idea 🤷‍♂️

people still play Pokemon Go and also the OG that started it all, Ingress and the various spin offs like Monster Hunter Now.

it's a genre that appeals to a certain type of people and those people still play.
