I’d tend to agree on being patient with the exception of releasing Ross Ulbricht. Unless Ross has been notified that it is in process and given some guarantee, it feels cruel. To a person in prison I’d imagine he’s heard all sorts of hopeful things that didn’t pan out. So even that assurance likely brings anxiety. Don’t tell someone imprisoned “Day One” unless you mean it. Words matter. If he didn’t mean “day one” then he should have said “in the first week”. Maybe Ross isn’t a “national priority”, but not making good your word casts doubt on anything to follow.
With regard to the rest… Don’t trust a politician.
