Can we stop using red/green for bad/good indicators? I’m color blind and y’all don’t understand the struggle.

Would ✅⏳❌ work better?

Yes but are ugly

Use a dot and or dash for connected or not connected. Could still keep them colored as well.

Yeah, using a combination of color + different characters is always the best option, not only on social networks, but on everything that has color and tries to relay information to the reader

Yes. 🙏

Anything with shape works better than just color alone. If it’s just red/green but the same shape, then it’s confusing and hard to discern. Shadows and other indicators help with this as well. Maybe green has a glow effect, but red has nothing and is flat matte or w/e.

Do that make sense?

Is it ok if we still use them but display them traffic light stile? I like color cues.

Traffic lights work because of the physical shape change. So yes, that would work. The light “moves” and doesn’t just change color.

Do color blind people panic less when the price drops? 😉

What price?

😉

What do you suggest? What’s best practices? #[2]

Shape change is fine. Some sort of “physical” indicator of difference works nicely. Alternatively, some video game changes good to blue and bad to orange. Pretty sure CoD does this but I haven’t played in some years now.

Up and down arrows

Ok, reddit. 😆

but yea, works. 🤷‍♂️
