I think the fallacy is that there is only ONE ring. Trafficking is rampant.

It was just an angle I hadn’t thought of until I read it, true or not it makes some sense. My gut tells me it all is controlled by intelligence agencies for espionage and controlling powerful ppl for geopolitical reasons.

Worked with a lot of trafficking survivors in the addiction field, had it touch my life a few times.
The truth is never that „Hollywood wild” though for most people. And the sensationalism hurts the survivors.

Almost all social work is IMO. I’ll never understand how some people stay in it for a career. I respect them but it definitely is something one does for the love of others. The pay is crap & it almost always feels like a losing battle. That’s what I’ve seen. 😭
I’ve done a lot of volunteer work with local homeless population & have dealt with addicts on that side. Bringing basic health services is a small thing but I’ve met a lot of interesting people & listened to their stories. It’s definitely a pandemic. I wish more would recognize this & work to understand but it is what it is.
One group I donated to worked hard to get a small village set up & the amount of NIMBY faced was almost enough to make me quit trying. Jerks 😞 Humans always human & trying to make good changes is always hard. We go on.
