Crazy indeed. Even if you adjust for inflation, that's only ~115 million in today's dollars.
Imagine the difference in planning/approvals/contracting/financing/construction/safety/hiring over that 39 year period. Helps explain the bloat

Yeah those greedy low wage construction workers working 12h shifts and they still want bigger paycheck. Never enough :)
I'd be curious to know how long the two projects took as, well. Cost disease, but also everything's so much slower
