I use a passphrase also but I was playing around making different metal backups. It's not original but if you had your seed on nuts a bolts. Each nut a word (column) and each side of the nut a letter (row). The nuts could spin around the bolt but unless you knew how to align them up correctly, you wouldn't be able to read it. Like this for example, any thoughts...

So basically similar to a scitala cypher? Sounds like a good idea to me.

And it would have a passphrase also. Obviously, the disadvantage is the many parts. But I could keep it all in a locked steel capsule.

I feel like I'm missing something? Would this be an upgrade on your standard seed plate?
