Primal should have simply let people to have fun, but instead, they opted for a complete totalitarian approach.
There should be spam filters, but these filters ought to be transparent, open source and users should have control over it. Otherwise it's just censorship but on top of nostr protocol.

It’s sort of shocking how nostr devs have handled this censorship issue. I remember bringing it up to Vitor and he didn’t seem to care at all (until the Onyx fork).
It’s astounding to be how it’s been made out to be such a hard task to code a toggle and some text explaining what you’re doing.
I agree. I’ve been using plebstr and I like it but it does some censoring too, but there are no settings or even a brief explanation as to how it works.
