protocol would cover both here & bsky (right??) but i mean also facebook, instagram, tiktok, twitter, etc

No, twitter etc are platforms. They are walled gardens and own your digital identity. I. E. They can ban you from the platform and you can’t take your followers with you or even your online name.

Nostr is a protocol. You own your identity and just use it on a client. The client is just a reader and UI for the protocol. If a client irritates you, then just log into another one taking your identity and followers with you

that makes sense was just wondering if there were a term i could use to cover everywhere

i imagine not since nostr is like. a completely different thing

Yes it is unique the way the relays run and the signing key. Very similar to bitcoin which is why there are so many bitcoiners on here. Instantly understand what they were looking at.

Sorry for the protocol correction comment. People get a chip on their shoulder about that point 🀣

ahhhhh. thank you for explaining. and its no worries i appreciate that it came from someone nice <3

Nowhere and everywhere at the same time…. 🌌

As this universe expands it will hit more and more just how important this line of thinking is.

Your profile is your private property. No one can take that from you. You can port it wherever you like. Ride the space ship.
