That was proven to be fake, though I changed some things for my accounts, just in case.

That was not the first and definitely not the last attack. Only the one that is most recent in memory.

I try to avoid as many KYC services as possible, with some exceptions (credit union primarily).

True, and that’s why scammers take data to scam…
