Replying to Avatar Matt

I didn't say it was a threat. I'm curious of what the outcome could be. I'm asking. It's been implied in a lot of the things I've seen that running a node is much like having a say or 'vote.' Is that actually true? Or is that just a misunderstanding? Because if it's true, it seems that having more nodes would provide some benefit

Having a node makes you a peer in the P2P bitcoin network. I’ll let you figure out what that entails. Check out Inventing Bitcoin by Yan Pritzker or go on the Learn me a Bitcoin website so you can gain a better understanding of how things work if you’re interested.

Yeah, my experience with asking AI questions usually results in me having to just look elsewhere anyway. Interesting side story there in some of my notes.

I've never heard of those other resources though. I appreciate it.

Yeah, they are pretty good. They helped me a lot. Coursera has a Bitcoin course by a Princeton professor that’s quite good. It’s from like 2014, I think, but they go granular, and it’s pretty thorough.
