I’m currently dogfooding the platform and noticing a number of issues myself so currently in derailing mode.
I’m guessing perhaps the grader is too strict with accents if you aren’t a native speaker with latin languages
Is there an alert that gets reported or does it just constantly fail your attempt?
This is the alert I get. I couldn't even pass simple words like "hola". The chat exercises seem to work and understand my words despite my accent.
Damn, i thought I fixed that a while ago, but it's a persistent issue I have with overzealous grading.
ill work on improving that tonight/tomorrow, currently working on improvements where stuff just renders more smoothly without any generations. Ill add that as part of the next update
I Imagine it's hard to find the sweet spot. With Duolingo I have the feeling that I could just say whatever and still pass the exercise. Which is not ideal for learning, but I have the feeling that they value user retention over the actual learning effect of the lessons anyway.
