the sad part about “crypto” is that it has slandered bitcoin and now the gp group them together.

the average person is not going to want to learn more about bitcoin if all they know are the negativities that is perpetuated by crypto coins. especially since the media operates by plastering the downfalls, and groups bitcoin and crypto together.

i was that average person, until i joined nostr and learned the truth.

I was that person too. It took someone I deeply respected nudging me gently for weeks before I became open minded to Bitcoin. I don't know how we fix it

Before even that people knew Bitcoin as that thing that only terrorists and criminals use. Telling people you used Bitcoin was akin to admitting to heinous acts to the average person.

Grassroots is how we got this far, and the grassroots are how we continue. Don't worry about the average person. Worry about your family and if not them, your community, and if not then move until you find a community that needs Bitcoin. You don't have to convince people who need it, they already get it.
