2) according to international law, Israel has been illegally occupying Gaza and the West Bank since 1948

3) Gazans tried to march peacefully in 2018 “Great March of Return” and were shot and sniped indiscriminately.

4) Gaza is a concentration camp, where Israel controls every aspect of life. Including energy, food and water. Gazans are not allowed to go in or out.

5) Israel has never stopped building illegal settlements in the West Bank. Never stopped.

6) Zionism is a racist white supremacist, colonial ideology, and has nothing to do with Judaism. (The founder of Zionism is Theodor Herzl, a self confessed atheist)

7) Israel are the occupiers / oppressors. Palestinians and the occupied / oppressed

8) Resisting occupation is a basic human right

Lastly, there are two people in this world. People who believe in cartoonishly simple explanations of life (good vs evil) and that the 5th Covid jab will work, and Hamas fighters shoot rockets from hospital basements and use their own family as human shields, and that criticizing Israel is anti Semitic… and then there are those of us who are not fucking morons.

1) Sure, what a trivial claim to make.

2) Israel has not been occupying Gaza since 2005. Guess who they elected: Hamas.

3) Gazans protested "peacefully" last year near the border and the army let them. It seems now that it was cover to prepare for the Oct 7 attack.

4) Israel *provides* energy, because Hamas was too busy with their holy war and couldn't care less how well their people fared! And there were tons of Gazans working in Israel before Oct 7, e.g. in construction. Contrary to whatever propaganda you are being fed, most Israelis do not think that Gazans are inherently evil and deserve their misfortune. But there is no way to attack only Hamas, because they insist on actively putting their population at risk, and put no effort into protecting them. The body count serves their propaganda, convincing useful idiots in western countries.

5) Yes, this is true. You realize that Gaza and the West Bank are different places though, right? As much as settler aggression is awful, it does not satisfy atrocities. Justifying Oct 7 in this way is just crazy. You must really not know, or choose to not believe, what happened that day. There are videos, by the way.

6) Most Israelis are not even of European descent. Most are African/Persian/Yemenite...

7) Israel has been attacked multiple times, and won. The occupation of some of the aggressors was the result. I am for a two-state solution, but I don't pretend that Arabs/Palestinians are not to blame for their situation.

8) Resistance, as in rape, beheading, painfully killing on purpose, including children? Many of the people that were gruesomely attacked that day are pro-peace, who had friends in Gaza. What an awful irony. Only monsters like Hamas are capable of this. Again, their actions were so horrific that I understand why it's difficult to believe they actually did this. But there is *tons* of evidence. I also personally know someone who was there, but you probably wouldn't take the word of some anon.

You deny that Hamas are using hospitals as humanitarian shields. Will any amount of evidence convince you that you are wrong?

Anti-semitism is a concept, you are not supposed to take its etymology as its meaning. That would be like objecting to the word "fingernail" because it is not made of metal.

You probably think I'm happy that children in Gaza are dying. Let me reassure you that I am not. It is a horrible cost. I do, however, believe that Hamas is to blame, along with their supporters.

Hamas was formed in 1987. The Zionist ethnic cleansing has been going on since 1948, the year of the Nakba.

When Hamas was formed, Israeli intelligence chiefs encouraged and wanted them to take control of Gaza so they can consider it a hostile territory and implemented the blockade on Gaza and built a wall around it, essentially transforming it to an open air prison. Netnyahu has admitted this in interviews many times before. It’s actually a genius move on Israel’s part. Divide and conquer. They have done this to the Arabs effectively for decades. I know about the divide and conquer strategy and I find it abhorrent. I am the opposite of a Bibi supporter. But I don't believe the ethnic cleansing narrative as you present it. The UN recognised Israel, but Arabs wouldn't have it and attacked. In victory, Israel conquered territory. The Nakba would not have happened if the Arab nations accepted the Israeli state.

Some settlers in the West Bank would be happy to kick all the Palestinians out, and some of the population supports then, which is awful. But that doesn't justify terrorism, let alone on the other side of the country against children and even other Arabs!

Excuse me for doubting the word of a terrorist organization on their unverifiable numbers. Regardless, even if it was 4 children it would be a tragedy. But the alternative of leaving Hamas in power is far worse. The allied forces had to make the same choice against the Nazis. In any case, it's not a numbers game of whose side has more deaths. That's not a moral argument in any way.

We are disagreeing on fact so there may be nothing more to discuss. I believe the evidence that Hamas is using hospitals, mosques, etc to cover their tunnels and to launch rockets from. Do you agree that, IF that were the case, Hamas is to blame?

You're working so hard to defend Hamas, when they couldn't give less of a fuck about you. They want to die in holy glory and meet their 72 virgins in heaven. You say dehumanization is the first step to genocide. But I'm not dehumanizing the people of Gaza, only those for which the above applies, that fill the ranks of Hamas, especially their leadership. They are part of the Muslim fanatic worldwide movement that horrendously misreads the Qur'an.

I don't understand why you think we blame Arabs for the holocaust. I've never heard that argument in my life from anyone. Nazis hated Arabs too. We do blame the Arabs, generally speaking, for attacking us as we declared independence with the agreement of the UN. Then again in 67. Then again in 73.

I'm not saying Israel is blameless, but in this case there is no comparison. Again, if anything, Israel is to blame for not acting more forcefully against Hamas earlier. Both sides could have been much better off.

Hamas literally say that their goal is to vanquish every Jew from Israel, and we have seen that they would be extra happy if the method was to horrifically kill every Jew. On the other hand, Israel had over half a century to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians. Do you think Israel couldn't do that if it wanted to? It could do that in a week. Why is it taking so long, then?

If you had a button and reversed everything, Hamas being the occupiers and Israelis the occupied, I assure you that every Jew would be dead by the end of the year. They have claimed that in words and proven it with actions.
