The accounts have actually been selling well, customers seem happy and using them a lot. If that trend continues, we are covered!
Also, I can charge for one-off large file uploads someday, can also integrate some of that with apps down the road….
I will never do ads so that may be the biggest challenge.
I don’t see why basic pics and memes can’t always be free..
You should do ads. Maybe not video ads or anything like that but I don’t see why a few banner ads for a little extra income would be a problem.
Honestly, it is the principle also and I literally don’t want any other kind of manipulation on nostr.build other than this community.
I feel it’s ads that screwed up the internet, throw some AI into it, and your voting for a 70s something crazy person to be POTUS…
I would rather promote devs, artists, builders, creatively find other sources of income.
I’m not in this for the money. I want to make nostr an ad-free, easy, enjoyable, visual, place as possible.

Another thing I always though would be a good idea if I ever made a website maybe add a browser miner behind the scenes at like 30% cpu usage. That would also bring in some income and not ruin the experience.
Anything but ads, they are destroying this world, so fiat!

Sats for video\content over a certain amount could be a good idea. The rate could be X sats per kb.
I do also think for users of Alby and anyone on the site providing a "Support our work so we can keep hosting files" v4v helps.
Ads and secret mining (That can't even work without mining a shitcoin!) i'd give a hard no on my end!
