What part will relays have in the upcoming years, different from now? Is it something only techies will provide? Is it something everyone will be able to provide? Is community based relay a thing? What are the biggest difficultiues with relays at the moment?

I'm no expert, but I think the community aspect will certainly have something to do with distribution. I think we're already seeing that to some degree. It'll be similar to how different websites hold different content. For instance, if you have children using nostr you would be able to use a relay that's dedicated to blocking adult content. Just my opinion.

And I think anyone, if they take the time out of their day, will be able to set up their own relay with their own settings. Not sure what route paid relays will take, though. 🤔
