The purple doesn't show up well here, but these russulas are eye catching.

I'm not sure, but the stipes are white.
I don’t usually find russulas in the winter. If they have purpleish gills they are probably blewits
I always find russulas in fall and winter. I'll have to see if they're blewits instead. Of so, we have meal a few feet from our door! 😀
