Federation is doomed from the start.

Yea, it kinda worked for bbs, but that's before non-technical users gained control of the tech.

There's too much delay for today's world and the way blocking works destroies communication.

Federation was never the answer. We didn't need more, albiet smaller, centers of power, we need there to be no center of power what-so-ever.

Yup. Totally agree. Do you currently still use #lemmy ?

I hop on every other month or so. I like the reddit alternative idea, but due to federation it's hard to use.

I think I'm connected via lemm.ee as they were the least insane a couple years back.
