I’m not relying on a third party. I’ve secured my own keys and no computer can join my network without me first signing that off on my own network. You definitely can depend on tailscale to do all the hard work for you, but you don’t have to. You can control your own keys and sign your own devices.

Sounds like you aren't exactly sure how permissioned third party reliance works. But if you're happy, that's fine, create your account with Tailscale and rely on their services. To each their own.
