It's so weird to me that the Bitcoin timechain is ready gimongous, so that it takes for fucking ever to download, and now someone had the brilliant idea to add image data.

What next, YouTube videos?

Nobody had that brilliant idea, you could do it since inception.

Although i get your point about later blocks being "heavier" due to the spam data. But blocks cannot exceed 4MB/10 mins even if they did add youtube videos.

It would take 9.5 million years to upload it even if you used the full block size, and at the current fees it would cost more bitcoin than exists 😅

To be fair, the blocks don't get bigger if you put images in them. 4mb blocks max.
