I think it depends on the device. For example, uploading a photo from an iOS device shows if location etc is included, and lets you turn it off.

This image should have no meta data with it. Hopefully 🤣

Most image uploaders should strip metadata, but you have still sent it to the image service that is hosting your image for "free"

I do it manually with exiferaser before to be safest possible.

Even if they are doings things right today you never know when that will change and how many images you'll upload before that news gets to you.

I usually take a screenshot then upload? 🤔

Curious about a video... Should I take it from within the app itself. Or does the compression process strip it

With this new pixel I'm excited to start sharing better quality stuff. Especially during my transition out of the city into the Bush

The stock camera app on graphene doesn't save location, etc by default. Also in pictures on click the little i in a circle at the top. It will display properties, click Remove EXIF at the bottom.

My thing is I want the meta data for my long term memories. I enjoy having all my photos viewable by map 😕

So having it on is by default. But if videos are scrubbed from uploading in primal would be nice

You don't HAVE tto remove the metadata. Just for images you intend to post online. You can even copy them, strip one, post that one, then delete it so you have the metadata.
