Whose logo is that ?
Discussion
Are you too young to remember Netscape?
No just forgot how dull it was
Does the internet have a logo?
Does email have a logo?
Does a phone line have a logo?
It’s funny to me that any open source public domain would have what anyone would call an “official” logo.
Let the clients market!
yes
this
thank you
Actually, all of them sort of do. That’s why we have common icons for all of them 🐶🐾🫡
Are these official icons ser?
Yeah? Which one is your internet logo?
The phone on a iOS is different than Android.
Email logo is different too..Gmail, proton, Apple etc.
I was going to say the same thing, they might not be “official” but they’re universally accepted
So in that, we can have multiple that have meaning. Open source is never definite.
Also agreed, the masses will pick the one that they want to stick, but in this world it is necessary to have one
Nothing official about the #Bitcoin symbol or logo, but it's internationally recognized!

Yeah.. does RSS have a logo? Does the World Wide Web have a logo, Does WiFi have a logo, or Bluetooth have a.. er wait.
Those all have multiple variations.
Which one is the “official” one?
The ones that you immediately know what it is, are the official ones. The community has spoken through the adoption and reuse of ever more similar iterations, to use anything else would be to invite confusion. This isn’t to say clients and relays shouldn’t have their own brands. But there is nothing wrong with being able to recognize that an app, website, or product is Nostr integrated with a symbol.
I'll let you know in 2 to 3 minutes.
