You can also do on chain with robosats fyi

Are you sure the Seller can do on-chain?

Yea it’s part of the options when you do a trade you can select on chain or lightning. It’s been a minute but that’s how I remember it.

Worst case you use a custodial lightning wallet for larger purchases if you’re custodial lightning doesn’t have the liquidity then you just transfer it in smaller amounts to your custodial lightning or send it on chain to your cold storage.

*Custodial to non custodial I meant*

Yes, if the seller accepts on-chain.

wait what?

Phoenix closed your channels?

with Phoenix dont you just have a channel with them and they handle everything?

or am I misunderstanding?

I was able to recover on chain it was just annoying. So I didn’t lose any sats. Just had to pay on chain fees to move them to a new address.

You are correct but for some reason my channels closed and I have to recover on chain.

weird. good to know, i still use them for most LN stuff.

Yea I don’t want to paint them as bad it worked good until then I just stopped using it after that.

what do you use now?

I'm sure ive seen it somewhere but I forget.

I’m just using WoS out of pure laziness and convenience. I know I know it’s custodial I am a bad boy.

lol

arent you US based 😲

Nope just my avatar

🤔

im us based and i use wos WITHOUT a vpn, watch:

well I hope you can shake off losing whatever sats theyre holding for you

< 5k. ill survive

hell I have more than that in minibits

Livin dangerously

its temporary until i find find a better solution. not proud of it. zues and phoenix are expensive and finicky i dont feel like going back. anyway when someone mentions that wos doesnt work in the us i feel the need to demonstrate that, actually, it does

Yea it’s nothing significant but I’ve also used it for almost 4 years unrugged so seems unlikely but if it did I am would pissed for about 69 minutes. Then move on with my life.
