I gotcha 😂 You don't need to know about nips but relays are just how you see content and be visible on Nostr. You post your notes to relays for others to see and likewise when you're connected to a relay, you see whichever notes were posted to it.

The relays are like all the clients the stuff can be seeing on or no?

Nope. You can think of the relays like servers. The clients are the apps (Damus, Primal, Amethyst, etc.) that read and write notes to the relays. The relays are where all the data/content is stored, and the clients are how you use Nostr
