This may be a controversial opinion, but I HATE “follow me” dms or “follow for follow” posts. Post things that add value…educate people, make them laugh and I promise people including myself will find you.
If you aren’t trying to get your name out there for business purposes whatever it is, what does it matter how many people follow you? Honest question.

Is literally the only point to get your follower account up? I have followed some amazing people that way when I first got to Nostr, but since those first couple days, my main criteria for following is posting something interesting, helpful, or thought provoking.
No hate on people doing it, but I'd rather individuals follow me because we think we can have a mutually beneficial relationship, rather then just bump each other's numbers.

Absolutely. I know my content would probably gum up a dev’s feed and I wouldn’t be a great follow for them. Or one of my hands down favorite bitcoiners recently admitted he had to mute me on Twitter because my dental tweets made him gag 😆 It’s all good. Complete control of your own information input and output is a beautiful thing.

Just here to learn from you guy's. Couldn't care less about follows..... I learned how to Zap today. I zapped and got zapped! Not alot to give so the follows won't come but I'm learning everyday.
Don’t underestimate how much your learning process could help others. I get a lot of dms asking “how to” questions and Im happy to answer, but I encourage people to ask via note as well so that it might help someone else. All of us here have learned via the help of others here 💜

Agreed. In the #Bitcoin community, we're all about adding value and educating others. We don't need to resort to "follow for follow" tactics. Instead, we focus on creating valuable content and building a community around financial freedom and decentralization.
