I'm sorry.. I'm going to make this ƀ thing for "Satoshis" real. They're still Satoshis - not "bitcoins"! - but we use a different symbol to represent them.
Just like $ and ¢ - ₿ and ƀ . We can make everyone happy and keep 21 million.

I'm with you there. I call them sats. But I think the ƀ symbol could be a peaceful proposition to unite the division on the unit thing.
that symbol is cool, too. I am partial to the ƀ because it's available in unicode today (and it's closely related to the uppercase B). I'd much prefer a "b" with two vertical bars, the way ₿ is. But we're not there yet.
Should it come after the number, like ¢?
It would give an additional indicator to show people who might be reading too quickly or have poor vision (or both) that it's the smaller units, the bigger ones would come before the number.
