โ€œThe complainant further added Brian Mcgann Jr. is a delusional conspiracy theorist and he was upset with his father because he recently learned his father received the vaccine,โ€ deputies wrote without elaborating on the kind of vaccine.

Now I know that any medical intervention has the potential for harm, but Iโ€™m certain that beating someone to death is more risky than any medical intervention.

its just fucked. dude was on drugs.

Wait nowโ€ฆ we canโ€™t ignore the fact that opioid epidemic correlations and drug overdoses etc werenโ€™t Covid 19 related, can we?

drugs are bad. mmkay ๐Ÿ™‚

Just say no!!!

Drugs screw up everything.

Iโ€™m anti-drug. Selling drugs is an easy way to guarantee you get to keep a substantial fraction of your drug slaves economic output. Libertarians often get this wrong. Drugs donโ€™t have a market place. They have victims and lords.

agreed, recreational drug use is dangerous more times than not. addiction is a black eye in every community and brings out the worst in human beings.

So we got one 'right wing nutjob' beheading his father and now this? I smell a narrative forming just in time for (s)election season.

one can isolate or connect this event to others. we might need tucker or jones to get to the bottom of it. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Now what? Iโ€™m only reading things ๐Ÿ™

These two killings will be used by the presstitutes to paint 'right wing relgious nuts' and ant-vax conspiracy theorists as literal murderers. And there was also the guy who beheaded the satanic monument being charged with a hate crime recently. The op is on. And just wait til something pops off in the Texas border side show. Plus Tucker/Putin will come into play. Things gonna get weird in coming months.

2024 is destined to be a really weird year ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ™

Yea I think it may be more comical than horrifying. But weird definitely will describe it nicely

i understand.

i just dont care enough to catastrophize it. it doesnt seem worthy of a netflix special or even political fodder, but i could be wrong.

All I mean is its the perfect optics for an already established, albeit false, narrative. I would be shocked if the media didnt run with it.

Who owns all the media sources?

Thatโ€™s just me thinking out loud. How TF are algorithms even legal? I mean, donโ€™t get me wrong, I believe in humanity being able to look and consume anything they want.

Algorithms make everything go so quickly one sided or another that Iโ€™m not sure how modern humanity is supposed to be expected to know * what * to research outside everything they see.

Still, always hopeful for humanity. Wonโ€™t be one of those old people saying โ€œ All hope is lost .โ€ Constantly seeking solutions ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿซ‚

Is a biased algorithm like that really any different than cable news though? The choice there is either left fear porn and propaganda or right fear porn and propaganda. Different platforms, but same overall model IMO.

I believe you. Quit watching the news years ago. Sometimes choose to check various news sources for an overall view ๐Ÿ™

Yea I stopped quite some time ago as well, but like you said, check in occasionally. I like to keep up on what the narratives are. Helps know what to expect next.

i pulled this from law and crime on youtube. i love the channel. i like watching human behavior. criminals and cops, lawyers and judges, the law all intrigue me. i like dark shit like that, guilty pleasure. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ might fuck around and go to the court house today just to watch ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿค“

Hahaha, never heard of the channel, but you sold me on it with this summary๐Ÿ˜‚

there is a little bit of everything on there for sure. enjoy ๐Ÿค™

Take notes & nod knowingly now and again just to mess with everyone. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š

im serious ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ. its another way to get to know the people that live in your community. like being an uber driver you find out who lives there, where they work, eat, party, shop etc except the courthouse is more dramatic

Sure

Another thing about algos in social media and whatnot. Your typical person would almost certainly love em. Not many people really like to step out if their echochambers. That's why people will whine and complan about twitter for example. But not leave because its comfortable. And as was evident by the brief exodus from twitter to the fediverse, the non-algo nature of it quite literally horrified people. It was fucking hilarious while it lasted. And a similar phenomena is happening at Substack. People are losing their fucking minds seeing opposing opinions and there was actually an organized 'nazi hunt' on the platform trying to convince the susbstack guys to ban anyone who commits wrongthink of any type. Someone even compiled a list of around 300 substacks and other blogs deemed guilty of wrongthink and 'nazi' publications.
