Once again, I'd like to use the opportunity to remind you that something cannot be called "rare" if it's not...actually...rare.
The US has gotten away with calling it rare for decades.
But if you don't properly test every cow meant for human consumption... and prevent private companies like Creekstone from doing this through years of protracted legal battles up through the high courts...
And don't bother me with that "1 in a million" statistic.
There aren't 3 million people in my immediate family, so STFU. They don't tell you that's only about the "sporadic" cases. They don't tell you only autopsy can confirm a case of CJD and not everyone gets one. For reasons.
We do NOT need awareness about rare diseases today.
We need a CURE.
We do not need conspiracy theories when the facts speak for themselves.
We need PoW.
So while others gladhand online today and try to attention seek to raise money for a non-profit that's well in bed with the NPDPSC (google it)...
Others of us will keep doing the fucking work.
