Noderunners will always be specialized users who do the work others don’t want to or simply can’t handle. Everyone who wants to should run one, and there are new emerging ways to run personal nodes on your phone that don’t require a hardware investment. For everyone else, there will always be custodial options, because that’s just what most people are used to.
