Konstantin Strukov, a Russian billionaire and owner of the country’s largest gold mining company, was arrested by the FSB (the successor to the Soviet KGB) as he was preparing to fly to Turkey on his private jet. Strukov was one of the biggest private financiers of Vladimir Putin’s political career.
