there was several CMEs last year but what wasl more important was stuff like aurora being visible so close to the equator compared to the energy of the eruption... even Carrington did not come close to making the sky glow in New Caledonia

we come around to the side of the sun soon that is lit up by the galactic center in march-april again soon and it's gonna be lit, second year of solar max
