Total badge of honor!

My 4th was 10.6 lbs at birth. There were 7 other babies in the hospital nursery that day and the next biggest baby was 7lbs something. This older southern couple looks in the nursery window and go, “Omg look at that gigantic Mexican baby.” 🤣

Considering he was born with a large heart defect and we were told he would likely be scrawny, we enjoy every time someone is shocked at how massive he is a twelve.

Enjoy every minute of that big healthy boy!

My son has grown tired of people saying he is big for his age, and he’s not even 6. Wait till you hit puberty little dude…

Oh he will grow to love it particularly if he is involved in sports.

Football, Basketball and Hockey was my thing.

Curious to see what his is.

I was basketball and beach volleyball growing up. He seems to gravitate towards football (but loves to be a keeper, height helps) and martial arts.

Funny you say beach volleyball. We don’t really have that for boys in Georgia and my son loves basketball & football, but the beach volleyball coach at my son’s new school in Hawaii has reached out to us about him playing. He doesn’t seem interested, but he is curious about water polo which he can start playing in 8th grade. We know nothing about it.

I tried water polo, did not enjoy it and it was truly exhausting. Once you give beach volley a try and start diving in the sand to catch balls or jump and smash them balls over the net… it’s easy to get hooked. Too bad beach volley season is really short here in Switzerland (and does not involve a real beach)

Perfect “big guy” sports. It is a great joy of parenthood to see them find their interests and strengths.

Absolutely, to see him become himself is quite a show. I also love all this questions about the world, makes me realize how so much of it makes little sense.

100

We have big boys who also have a September birthday, which means they are the biggest fourth graders at their school. I don’t think it’s a bad thing at all.

Last pediatric visit they showed us how they’ve been trending for the past 10 years. Pretty consistent growth charts. One guy will easily be 6’5” and the other guy 6’3”.

😂 love it.
