My sanity and local immigration laws require me to find a job (ffs I was born here, but they don’t care). Half of the stuff I used to do, I can’t do no more due to health. The other half does not really have a market in my region.

Thought about getting back to studying, create new skills, acquire new knowledge and attempt to salvage my social life but I’m struggling to pick a subject compatible with my profile and with some sort of job prospect that would not be obliterated by AI in the next few years.

Any tips about professional reconversion are welcomed. Not necessarily looking for answers… good questions are the best advices.

Digital marketing, PR, copy writing - not bad as it helps you sell yourself any ways

Online English - adults or kids. Obv language skill dependent. Easy to get certified and work

Coding - oMG r U a genius. Anyone can learn to code and get basic work. Its a valid option.

Done all myself. All worked to varying degrees.

Feel the immigrations shits. Fuck them but yohr already not dwelling on what u cant control. Your winning.

You can and will figure it out. You can DM for help or tips in the end its achievable to be free with powers within your mind

Thanks for the reply.

Marketing… sadly not aligned with who I am. It would feel like joining the enemy, again. Unless it is for something I truly believe in…

English is my third language.

Coding… I tried in the past, never clicked.

It’s easier for me to focus on the big picture and how elements are interconnected (my strongest mental aptitude) than it is to concentrate on details and isolated tasks. I spent a fair bit of my professional life on education curriculum design and overviewing project management without being directly involved in the projects, consulting of sorts. I think that’s where I was the most engaged and productive. It’s like playing sudoku.

Sounds like product and project management with experience in education?

This is not the first time I get extremely curious about the buzz word “product management”.

First I heard it was from nostr:npub17plqkxhsv66g8quxxc9p5t9mxazzn20m426exqnl8lxnh5a4cdns7jezx0 and i understand it offers contact with other minds and big picture thinking, both aspects I crave for.

Now I need to understand what I need to study to then stand a chance in the job market… what’s the path from little to no experience to potential gigs/employment.

From my own xp, product and project managers make my life so much easier. Pmp cert was recommended to me by a solid pm. He said just study , cert only if u went but concepts are learned without cert toom

Helps to have some xp in the project/product domain. Makes you super desirable as a candidaate.

Good luck on the journey!

I found some great introductory content over at university.atlassian.com will follow that for a while

Will probably have to go down the cert route at some point (it is a FIAT world after all) but want to first focus on grasping the basics and maybe find projects to help

🙏 my exchange with you was very beneficial, it took the little motion I had and propelled it forward

Job hunting is buzz words LOL

Sabbatical in Tanzania

I’m working on bitcoin education, music and tourism.

My son would probably love it, his mother would call the cops on me though. 🙏

Just ask yourself what makes you happy. This will be your answer 💜🧡

In current state… tough question to answer. I’m in motion though, let’s see in a few days.

Recent feedback from counseling session: “your anger is probably the healthiest part of you at the moment. You need, however, to use it differently. Self destruction is not the solution that will help your son”

As much as they hurt, these words stand true.

Sounds like you at least are doing the right things in recognizing the issues. Always here mate

Coding and leveraging AI as much as possible as it helps with code generation, understanding and troubleshooting for common cases.
