While JADAM microbial solution (JMS) may be controversial in the Western or “modern” gardening/farming world, it is still the clear winner for accessible soil microbe cultivation. All it takes is a 5 gallon bucket, a handful of leaf mold or forest soil, a boiled potato or other starch, a dash of sea salt, and time. Put the soil and potato in a sock or net, mash it with your hands into the water, and cover the bucket for 24-48 hours. Once you see a ring of bubbles, scoop some of the water into a watering can, dilute it with additional non-chlorinated water, and water your garden or compost pile to inoculate your soil with billions of soil microbes.
