Nothing rocks a world like a near-death experience. It’s so grounding and humbling. Not the type of humble you brag about, but the type that comes from fear… knowing how fragile we all are. How powerful and vast the cosmos is, and how organized our bodies are… a few slight tweaks and we fall apart.

Everyone is so worried about technology, but the human body’s operating system is under so much stress in this modern-world.

A few months ago I reached the conclusion that humility is not a state of mind but a reaction to the situations that deserve it.

You don't really know how much humility you have until there's a situation that truly requires your humility, doesn't matter how much you say you're humble today.

All of this came from the following question: if I don't love or care about myself, am I even humble?
