Just curious how many new users are joining Nostr on the weekly average ? Are there more than the same 30/35k same active users?
Just curious on how Nostr plans to scale to normies (like myself). Just bit catching the appeal so far for the masses 🤷‍♂️🤔🤨

I've on boarded a couple of people, but they didn't really use it.
I think that might be a content thing, they aren't particularly interested in Bitcoin or software and that's most of the content you (or at least I) see.
Yeah just curious. Folks talk like it’s the second coming of Christ but until some of the subjects broaden out it’s not going to gain traction for mass adoption 🤷‍♂️
Yeah that's why I try not to talk much about Bitcoin on NOSTR.

Yeah also why I don’t have a wallet here. This whole thing is about censorship resistance yet it’s like we are creating a teachable ledger for everything that ever happens on here 🤷‍♂️🤔

Isn't there a proverb about how a new product has to be 10 times better than the old one for it to be adopted.
Nostr feels 1000 times better to very few people who appreciate lack of censure and frontier internet.
However for many people's uses it's not better, it's probably worse right now.
Right now it's best use case is the secret society of the Nostr.
But this Amethyst app is really beautiful.
I prefer the Craigslisty feel of Coracle. I wonder when Craigslist will incorporate Nostr. That would be cool. And then Facebook marketplace so i could have some trust with the people I'm buying stuff from.
I don’t think anyone knows.. you need content for users and you need users for content - and you also have to convince those users to bring their friends or they just go back to where their friends hang out.
The way successful marketplaces grow is by seeding with lots of content and generating activity - real or fake.
For now we mainly attract castaways.
Makes sense. I have never been on social media really and I dislike podcasts/dont listen to anything. Aspects of this app are great but the majority of it doesn’t relate/make much sense to normies or average non tech folks.
