If I didn’t require first tier Linux support, (which this one doesn’t even really have either) I’d spend that money on a MacBook Air and get a Retina display and an aluminum body over these pieces of junk.
IBM did us a real disservice selling that brand.
I used to run Linux on Macbooks but, I just got tired of the bugs in the hardware that apple fixes in their software drivers.. Lenovo still does me good. My last laptop, the t420s lasted over ten years (still going as backup). The new x1 is ok, I did have to send it in for mobo replace defect tho. :( And paid too much for it. ) But, ya. Tempted to buy another laptop with Nvidia gfx but, hard to justify since all I want it for is gaming and maybe llm.
