Anyone have any advice on potentially not giving your child a social security number (sovereign citizen)?

This is our first child and I did not realize that was even an option. Nostr seems like the right place to ask opinions on the subject. Thanks in advance

Ignore the sovereign citizen garbage. Its a red herring.

However, they do get some things correct.

Do NOT give your child a social security number.

Teach him how to live in the world without one before he would ever need it.

Your accountant will pressure you to give him a social security number. Trump made this even worse than before by increasing the child "tax credit". Don't claim him on your taxes, this is how they lock him in and get you on their books.

Spend the next 14 years learning how to exist legally without a SSN. Pass this knowledge on. Bitcoin eliminates the need for a bank account. They can't force you to take the SSN.

Yes it may be the mark of the beast, but that doesen't matter. Think of it as people trying to make you look crazy for not wanting to sell 18% of your child's lifeblood to the federal government for a few thousand bucks a year in YOUR pocket. Tell them to stay the fuck out of your family's business.

Thank you for responding, that’s a lot to think about. Why did you say 14 years? Is that the last year they could potentially acquire one?

I, myself fell down the sovereign citizen rabbit hole several years ago and as he said, its a road to nowhere for now.

Perhaps when your kids reach the age of work, social security won't even be a thing.

I did not get him one. I’ve got to do a lot more research.

And I agree, it seems to be difficult to live in the world rn without a SSN, but that could change.
