In India, Linux is 13% of the desktop OS market. Let that sync in.
That is probably just because they replace it with pirated Windows right after purchasing the pc.

No, you pay for the license as part of pc purchase price. It may be less than cigar money for you, but it is significant money in India, and they count every penny.
