Yeah it definitely depends on what you are listening with. Tidal is great with a good set of headphones or good hifi but most computer speakers are pretty bad an I don’t think you would notice much difference.

There is a difference, it sounds better by far, and you do not need expensive equipment to notice.
I did this with my brother, when I brought him over to tidal on a family plan. I had to play a sound game to convince him. We would play the same song on both Spotify and Tidal for a number of genres pop, jazz, classical, rock and have our back turned the whole time🙈. We would then choose which sound we liked best, not knowing which streaming service it was coming from. Tidal won 🥇 by far, and now because my brother is learning French, he uses the lyrics screen to assist with his language studies :)
