Will agents be able to economize and market their services autonomously anytime soon? I think principles will be doing that for the foreseeable future and hence traditional forms of payment (with kickbacks and dispute resolution) will be utilized.

I agree. At the pace AI is developing and the sheer capital being invested, I wouldn't bet against it happening, but I don't see it any time soon.
