Not really a fan of it either. Kinda ruins the whole personal relationship with God. His word does tell us though, to fully grow in maturity we need to be connected to a church. My note would encourage one to visit a number of churches. Many churches are soft and water down the gospel, so those are not worth your time or your energy.
