I really want to like Tidal but I can’t seem to get on with it. Or maybe I need to upgrade from free account to really get a feel for it, but that’s not really in my budget atm. Stuck with Spotify for now. 😕

I’m about 5 weeks into a 2-month trial. The apps aren’t as polished as Apple Music (my default), but the recommendation algos are better IMO.

I’m hoping WavLake becomes a big thing

Me too 🤓

Might have to give that a shot. Always dig your music posts but can’t listen to the individual tracks on the free account so I always have to look them up somewhere else.

But yeah the little bit I’ve listened on Tidal I have loved the recommendations and feel like I found some cool stuff I never would have come across on other platforms.

aww, yeah. Tidal is a bit pricey comparatively. def worth it imho. i have hifi plus. sound quality is great & if it interests you, tidal pays out to artists significantly more than all other platforms. their playlists & “song” radio/auto play selections are good too. 🤗🫡

it’s crazy expensive if you think about the yearly cost of $20•12=😬

But compared to buying physical media, it’s a steal.

true that 🥰❕& every curiosity just clicks away.

If my favorite musicians were on Nostr I would just Zap them 😂

I’m hopeful for that future.

💯… i believe ☀️🌊 Tidal in particular will so much. They’re gonna do absolutely amazing awesome things❕‼️❕‼️❕

there's a lightning music site:

https://wavlake.com/

so C😎🥳L.

Thanks! I will keep an eye on it

Nice! Thanks for the link 🤙

Great point! I always shy away from subscription but you’re totally right– if we were still buying physical media (though I still do buy vinyl now and then) it’s small change compared to what you can spend on a just few albums.
