nostr DMs will be the most secure, the most interoperable, and the most unstoppable.

Yup.
Whats the timeline? I feel like people have been talking about improving nostr dms for months
lol... it's won't be anymore secure than signal, session or another truly end to end encrypted messenger. Stop exaggerating
why not? with signal you're trusting their centralized infrastructure that depends on secure enclaves and other dubious tech. with nostr dms could be going to your own relays that you control.
with nostr there will be multiple compatible implementations that keep everyone in check.
it doesn't matter if the infrastructure is centralized if the communication is end-to-end encrypted. The communication is unreadable for anyone who doesn't have the keys as long as the communication is encrypted client side.
Youโre still trusting a single implementation. It could get compromised and noone would know. with a decentralized protocol this is much harder.
which spec are you considering for Notedeck?
Unless you're running an "AI" device that has the capability to scan your screen as you type? Isn't that what the iPhone16 et al are doing now? Oh, and it's not just your device, if "AI" is on the recipients device, your conversation is compromised? I'm just curious...
yes, but not entirely private now
Thank God for the Atlantic ocean.

agreed with you . ๐
Too bad they don't work so well depending on the client you're using.
there was barely anything working when I joined. The most important thing is that noone has to ask permission to improve things.
Oh. I joined like a year ago. Messages work in some clients, like Coracle and Primal. In others, like Nostrudel, they don't. Although Nostrudel is seems to be the client that has the most features, it's still lacking in some areas. Having freedom to add features to Nostr is quite a nice thing.
Well the messages are working just fine. I think saying โwork in x clientโ isnโt exactly how to word that, but I get what you mean.
The protocol works as intended, client software howeverโฆ
So we test, release, patch, upgrade, and the cycle of betterment continues

Hell yeah!
