Garden of Gethsemane (Jerusalem, Mount of Olives)
• Significance: Place where Jesus prayed before his arrest.
• Current Control: East Jerusalem (under Israeli control), maintained by Christian clergy.
Sea of Galilee & Capernaum (Northern Israel)
• Significance: Many of Jesus’ miracles and teachings took place here.
• Current Control: Under Israeli control; numerous churches and monasteries dot the area.
Mount of Beatitudes (Near Sea of Galilee)
• Significance: Site of the Sermon on the Mount.
• Current Control: Under Israeli control, maintained by the Catholic Church.
