I don’t think it’s good for anyone to be attacked while unprovoked

I can relate

just had two of my good bros reach out to me independently asking about bitcoin's price action... both were quick to clarify that they were buying (and have been buying)... they look at this bitcoin dip as an opportunity.

it's an awesome feeling when people you care about actually listen to you.

i've known these guys since college (we are fraternity brothers). they are both a couple years older then me and work extremely solid jobs at big publicly traded tradfi companies. both are very intelligent guys and given their business/finance backgrounds, they were understandably a bit hesitant at first to listen to me when it came to money. after all, i'm just an engineer.

they're also on opposite sides of the political aisle from one another, but what they both share is an open mind and a curious nature. that's all it takes.

it's not easy bringing people over to the orange side and you can't save everyone, but it's worth it when your friends/family "get it."

it won't (usually) happen the first time or the second time or the 10th time you talk to them about it, but when they are ready they will come to you with questions, and you should be ready to give answers. now, they both (occasionally) even listen to nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3uamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dwp6kytnhv4kxcmmjv3jhytnwv46z7qpq0qrssqjsydd38j8mv7h27dq0ynpns3djgu88mhr7cr2qcqrgyezse4u840

that's the biggest things i've realized when it comes to getting friends/family to save in bitcoin: the idea of "orange pilling" doesn't actually make sense the way it's usually talked about.

you cannot *make* someone take the orange pill. you can give it to them, but they must take it for themselves when they are ready. the best thing you can do is make it known that you are saving in bitcoin, and then just live your best life. people will naturally be curious and eventually, when they're ready, come back to you to go deeper.

i've gotten to the point where i know it's useless to try and evangelize *everyone*, but i still want to make sure the people i care about most are saving in bitcoin, because i know what it will do for them and their families in the years to come. so i make it a point to never be the first one to bring up bitcoin when i'm with friends or family. i'm happy to talk about bitcoin when someone else brings it up, but i dont try to shove it down people's throats anymore. it's made a huge difference.

anyway, this is all to say that i think it's important to try and nudge the people you love in the right direction. they may not budge, but at least you will have tried. eventually, they'll come back with questions because, well, we're right.

My friend came to me today saying he dumped his money into an ETF 🤦

Excuses…

There will be no peace with Hamas in power.

Palestinians need a government that wants peace with its neighbours, not one with a mandate for bloodshed.

I was going to say you need Jesus in your life, but you beat me to it! That's funny. :D

God is Love.
