I don’t feel great lately about buying a new computer or phone from Apple. That exchange is about $1000 or so a year. And that’s a lot.

But I would feel much worse if the my labor working for Apple was valued at six figures a year. I don’t know how you can reconcile that.

It sucks, but like.

Labor is transactional. And you’ve gotta think about the value of that transaction.

Buying a new phone every year is just 1/100th (but probably more) of the value being exchanged when you work at Apple. It’s not even a close comparison.
