I hope to never have to cut a tree larger than this one. It was one of my favorite trees on the property, but sadly was dying over the past few years. It stood as the tallest tree at the highest point on the property.

The Humboldt had to be divided into 5 pieces just to complete the cut with a 20 inch bar.

A full 6 foot diameter at the base.

Amazing. What's the plan for wood? Looks to be quite a useable log at the base if you are able to saw it up?

An old field fence runs through the bottom 3-4 feet. I'll cut above that. I'm giving the trunk to my neighbor since he helped with some other trees. He'll make lumber with it. The branches will heats homes.
