Fixed hours and fixed pay rarely get into bitcoin.

How so?

Most bitcoiners I know are exactly what you say they aren't. I am too
Really? By bitcoiner I mean hodling their own keys and by fixed hours and fixed pay I mean zero chance to win anything extra. It's the same income month after month. No extra gigs, no nothing.
Really. I'm a firefighter. I have been running my own node for at least 5 years and have had my own keys, longer. The majority of bitcoiners I know, started this way too. A number have grown into working for themselves. For me, I'm close to retirement so I stay with what I've done for almost 30 years
Congratulations! In my circles there aren't any. Usually it's volatile income people that get into it in my experience.
I’m working to change that by example.
