It reminds me of a caregiving job I had
I got fired because I kept telling the old lady I was caring for that her niece's boyfriend was stealing from her bank account
And they sold a chunk of her land without her knowledge (she had a big property - expensive - in a good area being developed) and I told her
She got dementia and they didn't get her treated so they could steal from her
She needed adult diapers and she could change herself - but I found out when I wasn't working - weekends - they would make her sit in her dirty diaper for two days
(I started counting them)
They only let her shower once a week - which I helped with
And I didn't like it - plus the niece's boyfriend would sit there and talk shit to her when he wasn't working - which was often - dude was stealing her money and borrowing money to make it look like he worked while he was cheating on his gf (the niece)
When I got fired it wasn't pretty
I unloaded and told them they were participating in elderly abuse
But the cops wouldn't do anything because the BF was a part time snitch and part time drug dealer
She died shortly after I was fired
I was insanely mad
The bf only married the niece after like 17 years of dating so he could get a piece of the money
The lady I was taking care of told me all the time where her money was supposed to go after she died and she wanted to fuck her niece's BF out of anything
Her properties were supposed to be split up - some of her family would get one house and the others would share the other house - her struggling family members were supposed to get what they needed
But her niece got power of attorney and fucked everyone else

the niece and her BF were stealing pain medication and taking them and selling them -- the lady didn't want them, but she didn't want the BF to have them ... the BF was getting a bad addiction and talking shit about a cousin of his gf (the niece) because she had a problem
So another other cousin had enough and decided to raid the drug drawer after I was fired and stole everything - then gave it to me to sell to make up for losses and also fuck people
I took them and sold them
But I was out of a job and needed money and thanks to my youth - it's easy to me
* I won't do that again tho - I've had plenty of opportunities - I walked away and I didn't look back - it's been YEARS
Actually the drug drawer had various pill bottles that were stolen from family members
Including some that were addicts
And another other cousin of theirs was a nurse that was involved in a script scheme - she stole a script pad from a doctor and started forging prescriptions and selling them
She could write anything she wanted - and knew doctors that would take a script from another and go ahead and start giving them a regular supply -- a pill mill essentially
I'll call the BF M and the addict cousin L
M would talk shit about L at gatherings because she'd always show up high - one day she was in a chair nodding and her BF was trying to get her shit together and M was talking so much shit to everyone
And I was like dude - you're nose is bleeding because you've been doing coke in the back - who TF are you to judge?! Yeah L is a hot mess but you don't need to fuck with everyone about it - we see - we know - we're just trying to have a good time without your shit - feed her - let her take a nap - no booze -- your son is at the neighbors house snorting Xanax before he goes back on mil duty and on top of everything he tried to molest my drunk friend by the end of the night and I had to tell Ms old lady and she's like whatever -- whatever?! My friend is a rape victim and going through a traumatic episode - she's in shock and terrified
